In certain states, community solar projects are able to produce electricity and deliver it to the grid to reduce reliance on other sources of energy including fossil fuels
Homes and small businesses within the service territory subscribe to the solar farm.
This is the benefit of subscribing to a community solar subscription plan – there is nothing to install at your home or business.
If you are moving within the ComEd service area, you can take your subscription with you to your new address. Unfortunately, if you move outside of the ComEd service area you will have to cancel your subscription.
We are working with Arcadia to handle the billing portion of your subscription plan. You will still receive only one bill, which will come from Arcadia, that will consolidate your solar credits along with your ComEd charges.
You are free to cancel at any time, without penalty. Be aware that it can take up to 90 days for the utility to remove you from the program.
